So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • It was strangely reported that Mahala, her son Horrace Salisbury, and Horace's wife Lizzie all died on the same day. I wondered if that is true, what killed them? Tornado? I have some people researching the question in Jewell, KS. Gracia Jones (10/14/08) I requested cousin Julie Baker who lives in Jewell KS to investigate. She wrote back and she got the obituary for Mahala which has a discrepancy in the death dates and indicates that she had a long illness and her daughter in law took care of her. This more or less means the death date of Jan 1901 is probably not accurate for these family members. Julie is going to see what the cemetery says and I am going to see what the 1900 census gives. Gracia Jones 10/20/2008 June 15, 2009. Ivor and I visited in Jewell and Julie Weber Baker took me to the cemetery. We found Mahala's grave and that of her daughter Mary and husband. There were no other Salisbury's buried in either cemetery at Jewell.
