So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • Father of the East and North haven pardees

      Married twice: (1) Miles and (2) Lane. There is no record of a marriage to "Rebecca."

      George Pardee Pardee
      married (first) October 20, 1650, Martha, daughter of Richard Miles, who died in 1660, their children being:
      John, bom August 25, 1652, died June 28, 1653;
      John (2), born December 2, 1653, died October 8, 1683;
      George, born January 15, 1655, married (first) M. Mercy Ball and (second) Mary Denison, died November 22, 1723;
      Mary, born February 18, 1658, married Joshua Hotchkiss;
      Elizabeth, born June 10, 1660, married an Olmstead.
      Mr. Pardee married (second) December 29, 1662, Catherine Lane, their children being:
      Joseph, of whom further;
      Rebecca, born April 11, 1666, married Samuel Ailing;
      Sarah, born July I, 1667; Hannah, born July i, 1668, married Edward Vickers.

      I've given up on fixing this family history because lazy people just rejected merges, which creates massive problems. I leave it to Pardee family members to figure it out.

      George Pardee was baptized on 19 February 1623/24 at Pitminster, County Somerset, England. He was the son of Rev. Anthony Pardee and Anstice Cox. George Pardee married Rebecca (?). George Pardee married Martha Miles, daughter of Richard Miles, on 20 October 1650 at New Haven, Connecticut. George Pardee married Katherine Lane on 29 December 1662 at New Haven, Connecticut. George Pardee died in April 1700 at age 76. George Pardee immigrated in 1638 to New Haven, Connecticut.

      1. Katherine Lane, second wife of George Pardee (1624-1700), married him in Dec 1662; at the time George had 4 children by his wife Martha Miles, whom he had married when he was 26 years old and had completed his five year apprenticeship to a tailor. When Martha died earlier in 1662, the children ranged in age from 2 ½ to 9 years old and included George Jr. who started one of the Pardee lines in the US. At the time they were married, Katherine’s husband ran the ferry in addition to working as a tailor. Shortly after the marriage he became the schoolmaster of the Hopkins School; though he did not have a college degree, he was the only man in town who knew Latin, learned at school in Pitminster and from his father. Katherine and George produced four children during their 25 or 26 year marriage, in addition to the four who were her stepchildren. Katherine’s first, born in April 1664 (sixteen months after they married) was our first male ancestor born in America, Joseph. He was followed by sisters Rebecca (1666-1731), Sarah, (1668-1756) and Hannah, b. 1672. Katherine may have died by 1688, because it is thought George married a third time to Rebekah, mentioned in records from 1689. Katharine’s birthplace and birth and death dates are not known.
