So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

CAUTION: PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE DIFFERENT FRANCIS BROWNS OF NEW ENGLAND AND READ THEIR EXPLANATIONS BEFORE ASSUMING THEY WERE THE SAME. It is believed that Francis Brown arrived in America in 1637 with the group of puritans led by [[Eaton-104|Theophilus Eaton]] and [[Davenport-598|John Davenport,]] either on the "Hector" or her companion ship, whose name is unknown. When they scouted the harbor at the mouth of the Quinnepiac River in 1637, they left seven men there over the winter, to begin the work of establishing there a new plantation. Francis Brown was one of these men.Atwater Edward E. et al. Francis Brown was a farmer, tailor and he kept the ferry. Francis was canoe inspector and sealer of canoes. In 1648, and 1649, he was on committees to study and change the way "rates" (taxes) were charged, which at least implies that his fellow citizens considered him a fair man.
