So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

      Marjorie Virgina Lepley Porter
      (October 24, 1941 - June 16, 2014)

Marjorie Virginia Lepley Porter, born October 24, 1941, peacefully passed away with her family in the Morgan Valley she loved on June 16, 2014. She grew up traveling with her military family, having cherished memories of many places, her favorite being Japan. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1959 and St. Benedict's Nursing program in 1962. She loved her nursing career and those she took care of over her 50 years of service. Her most memorable nursing moment was meeting the love of her life as a patient while working in the hospital.
Marjorie married Graham (Hum) Porter on August 11, 1962 in Roy, Utah. They were blessed with 5 children, Brian (Janine) Porter, Tina (John) Comer, Amy (Dwayne) Mitchell, Roger (deceased) and Rebecca (Rob) Morrill. They were sealed as a family in the Ogden Temple.
Her husband, son, parents, three sisters, and so many others have been patiently waiting for her in Heaven. She is survived by her devoted children, 18 grandchildren, 3 ½- great grandchildren and her siblings, Margaret and Kent and our Dad's siblings. All who have returned the love and devotion she has shown them through out their lives. We love you and thank you.
Mom & Dad have waited for almost 40 years to be reunited again. Mom has blessed us over the years with the knowledge of eternal families, understanding our heritage and our responsibilities as servants of God.
Through the years mom has made some very special friends that she has treasured from childhood to death. We love them and thank them for such loyalty to each other and the many years they have influenced and blessed our family's lives.
Mom was a faithful servant of the Lord and has always had a strong testimony and love for and of our Savior Jesus Christ. She has been an example of Christ-like love to others her entire life. Our ward families in the Morgan Valley have helped her as she has helped them through many trials over the years, of which none of us would be the same without each others guidance and assistance. We love and cherish you all.
During her career she had the ability to be a nurse while raising her young children. She loved serving her patients, teaching about nursing and implementing new programs both in her time as County and School Nurse, working in Nursing Homes, and in Home Health Care where she retired from nursing but continued to share her compassion and knowledge to the very end.
A viewing will be held Friday evening, June 20, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Saturday June 21, 2014, 11:30 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral; both will be held at the Morgan Utah North Stake Center in Enterprise, 2755 West Old Highway Road, Morgan, Utah 84050. She will be laid to rest next to her sweetheart at the South Morgan Cemetery
