So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • He is on the 1880 census, Astoria, Fulton county, Illinois, with his parents William H. Switzer, age 27, born Illinois, Melinda F. age 32, born Kentucky and Daniel H. age 3 born Illinois The Daily Journal, Macomb, Illinois, Wednesday, May 21, 1947, page 1, column 6: Second Victim Of Accident Is Dead ... D. H. Switzer, 70, of New Windsor, formerly of near Colchester, who was critically injured in the auto-truck crash near Bushnell that killed his wife last Saturday afternoon, died shortly after 7:00 this morning at the Avon hospital. He had been a patient there since shortly after the accident and had been unconscious as the result of sever head injuries. His recovery had been considered doubtful since the crash. The Switzer's were riding in a car, which he was driving, near the northeast edge of Bushnell during a heavy rainstorm last Saturday when the car crashed headon with a truck driven by John H. McNeil of Macomb. The latter was unhurt. Coroner Jake David of Macomb will conduct an inquest into the death of Mrs. Switzer but his death will be the subject of inquiry by the Futon county coroner since death took place in that county. David said today that he will postpone the inquest into Mrs. Switzer's death indefinitely while seeking witnesses. Among persons sought, he said, is the driver of a car which picked up a hitchhiker from Detroit, Mich., named Cain, who was enroute to Bushnell to attend the funeral of a relative. The Switzer's were enroute to Plymouth to visit his brother-in-law, John Payne, at the time of the accident. They also planned to attend the homecoming celebration at West Bethel School Sunday. Switzer lived in the Bethel community a number of years ago and his wife formerly lived in White Flock neighborhood in that vicinity.
