    • In the middle of June, 1843, Joseph Smith Jr. and his wife Emma visited Elizabeth Wasson (ten miles southeast of Dixon, Illinois. Elizabeth was Emma's sister. The family was on the original place that they bought went they first arrived in Lee county, Illinois when visited by Joseph Smith Junior (1832-1914) in 1860. In the 1850 census of Amboy township, Lee county, Illinois 9 September she is listed as Elizabeth age 49 born Pa.; Roxey E. age 23 born N.Y.; Caroline age 11 born Ill.; then her son-in-law Ha(r)mon age 29 born Pa.; Amelia age 20 born New York; then children Henrietta age 5 born Iowa.; and Arthur age 1 born Iowa.
