So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

Headstone of Samuel and Rebecca Woodruff

"This monument was placed by the Oak Hill Cemetery Association in 1997 to commemorate the graves of the first colonial settlers who moved from Farmington about 1698 and built a small dwelling in the vicinity of the Joseph a Depaolo Middle School, once known as Puddin Hill. The original brownstone markers which lie just to the rear of this stone had deteriorated so much as to be almost illegible. The original inscriptions were as follows:
Here lyeth ye body of Mr. Samuel Woodruff. He dyed Jan 28, 1742 in ye 87th year of his age
Rebeckah Woodruff she dyed Aug. ye 4th 1737 in ye 65th year of her age"
