- The oldest son of Francis Daniel Clift and Sarah Ellen Price, had 3 oldersisters, 2 younger sister and 2 younger brothers. After parents divorcedthe older children stayed with their father. Had 3 half sisters and 1half brother. Married Dorothy Yates January 20, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT. Children born to this union are Darlene, Raymond Leon, Daniel Francis,Leslie Arnold,and Gary Eugene. Worked at Itel McCulla. Later worked for the American Oil Refinery,retired at age 62. Worked part time at Polly Gas. Liked to go fishing in his spare time, work in his garden and alway kepthis vehicles clean and waxed. He passed away March 5, 1994 after a courageous battle with cancer. Hewas laid to rest at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, UT on March 8,1994; the pallbearers were all grandson. "Bud Clift" Francis LaVern "Bud" Clift, 78, our beloved husband, father, grandfatherand friend, joined his Heavenly Father on March 5, 1994, after acourageous battle with cancer. Born June 22, 1915 in Salt Lake City, son of Francis Daniel and SarahEllen Price Clift. Married Dorothy Yates, January 20, 1934 in Salt LakeCity. Recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Retired from Amoco Oil Company. He enjoyed his family, gardening andfishing. Survivors: wife; sons and daughter: Darlene Van Cott, Raymond Clift(Mary), Daniel Clift (Terry), Leslie Clift (Mary Lee), Gary Clift(Sherry); 19 Grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, one brother andfive sisters. Preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers and awonderful son-in-law, Donald Van Cott. Funeral services Tuesday, March 8, 1994, 11:00 a.m., Larkin Mortuary,260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. andTuesday, one hour prior to the service. Internment Larkin Sunset Gardens. A special thanks to all the caregivers who provided comfort during hisillness.
