So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

Methodist Valdai's sister, Ethel Bonnick, went on to marry Edward Bernard Fielding (b. 16 Oct 1871 in Oshawa, occ: Traveller). He was the son of Edward Fielding (occ; Travelling Agent) and Eliza Jane Holdenby. He had two sisters, Laura and Alice. Ethel Bonnick Fielding also died young, on 11 Jan 1922, age 42, of heart failure after a 6 months fight against hemorrhagic ovaries. She was buried on 13 Jan 1922. At the time of her death, she and Edward were living at 68 Warren Road - the same house that Valdai and David had been living in. Edward does not appear to have remarried. The family lived at 613 Jarvis Street, then known as Toronto's Champs Elysees. The house n longer stands. It was at the intersection of Mt Pleasant & Jarvis and has been replaced but some seriously unattractive condos and office towers. In June 1910, Valdai attended the wedding of Thomas Gowdy Kennedy to Ethel Winnifred Conn in Detroit, Michigan. At that time, David was living and working in Montreal. It is not known if Valdai attended as David's guest or as a guest in her own right. gd/o Thomas & Eliza Smith and Joseph Herbert Barber Bonnick (b. 1814 in Chatham, England - Occ in 1851: Butcher - d. 20 Jul 1888 in Toronto) & Charlotte Bonnick (b. 1819 in Chatham, England) - 1851 residence: 180 High Street, Chatham, England - Children: Charlotte (1839), Sarah (1841 - married Charles Acton Bond), Joseph (1845), John (1847), Agnes (1848 - married Robert Haslitt), Clara (1849), William (1853 - married Catherine McKay) - thankfully in 1851, they had a nursemaid, Dorcas Wooley
