    • The Scotch didn't throw anything away so when Uncle Charlie died Mom had the difficult job of deciding what to keep. We kept a couple of the old Day Books. Attached is the front of one and a couple of pages out of center; also a scan of C.E. Kennedy's letterhead. Jean 1910 US Census - single, living with parents, brother William, niece Mary E Crum, occupation - contractor, living in house on Lexington Street in Independence, Missouri 1920 US Census - single, living with widowed mother Mary (age 79), his sister Mary M Coleman and brother-in-law James P Coleman. Both men working as pipefitters in a car machine shop. Living in a house owned by Charles at 110 South Pendleton Ave in Independence, Jackson Co., Missouri. 1930 US Census - single, living with brother William (age 66 - also single), sister Mary M. Johnson (age 52 - 2nd marriage) and her husband (age 50 - his 1st marriage - they have been married abt 3 yrs). Charles is a plumber, the other two men not working. Still living in the house at 110 South Pendleton, now valued at $2500. Neither Kennedy is a military veteran but Johnson.
