Otherwise he lived all his life in Lyme and died there before 19 Dec 1768. History of the Town of Surry Cheshire County, New Hampshire From date of severance from Gilsum and Westmoreland 1769-1922 with a Genealogical Register and Map of the Town by Frank Burnside Kingsbury Member of Lords Pound northwesterly to a large black oak tree marked Leaning over the meadow from thence the nearest course to the main creek, thence westerly as the creek runs to Moor Chogue Creek or Reaver. Also I give and bequeath to my said son Josiah my island lying in the cove which I formerly bought of Capt. William Ely, deceased. All which land and buildings I give and bequeath to my said son Josiah, his heirs and assigns in fee simple for ever.

He was born 1653 Lauffen Germany -1721 Lyme Connecticut). Jonathan Mack b. Lyme, Conn., about 1711; d. between 1766 and Dec. 19, 1768. He was one of the "Proprietors" at the drawing of the land in Gilsum before 1768, as a was also his sons, Jonathan, Jr., Joseph and John. He probably never lived in New Hampshire. He m. Aug. 24 (or 21), 1727-8, Sarah Bennett. They had eleven ch.
      [2]His Will follows; note that certain lands were given to his son Samuel.- In the name of God, Amen, the last Will and Testament of Jonathan Mack of Lyme in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England, calling to mind the mortality of the body that it is appointed for all men once to die, being weak in body but of disposing mind and memory, thanks be to God, therefore have thought fit to make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament and first of all I give and bequeath my soul to God that gave it and my body to a decent Christian buriel at the discretion of my executor, hereafter mentioned in hope of a glorious resurrection among them that are sanctified and as touching the worldly Estate that God has been pleased to bless me with. I give and dispose of in the following manner:
      First of all my Willis that all my lawful and just debts be paid by my executor, and secondly I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah, the use and improvement of one-third part of all my real estate so long as she remains my widow, and further my will is and I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah the use and improvement of the two east rooms in my dwelling house so long as she remains my widow and benefit of one-half the cellar under said house with the privilege of using the well. And further I give and bequesath to my beloved wife Sarah my weaving loom with all the tackling and appurtenances thereto belonging to be to her own use and dispose forever, and further I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah two cows, one they call Lilly, the other is a brindle heifer to be her own dispose forever, and one-third of my household goods to be to her dispose forever.
      Thirdly: And futher as to my sons Joseph Mack and Jonathan Mack and John Mack give each of them five shillings to be paid by my executor and no more by reason I have given them their portions already. Fourthly: And furthermore my Will is and I hereby give and bequeath to my dutiful son, Josiah Mack my dwelling house and barn and all the south end of my farm on which I live, both upland and meadow until it comes up northerly to a line drawn from the east end of the stone wall by the highway near against Esq'r dutiful son Samuel Mack all the northerly end of this my farm on which I live until it comes down south all the northerly end of this my farm on which I lieve until it comes down southerly to the line and bounds above mentioned. Dividing between this and his said brother Josiah land above mentioned. And further I give and bequesth to my said son Samuel Mack all my land on the hill in said Lyme called and known by the son Samuel Mack all my land on the hill in said Lyme called and known by the name of Bennett's Hill lying between John Mack Jr. land and Pabez Sils land.
      Sixthly: My Will is and I hereby give and bequeath to my two sons John Mack and Abijah Mack in fee simple forever all that piece of my meadow lying on that part of the said meadow called Champions Meadow. Equally to be divided for quantity and quality. And further my Will is and I hereby give and bequeath to my said son Abijah Mack all my land and rights of land in the Township of Cillsins in the Province of New Hampshire in New England, to him and his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever and I also give to my said son Abijah ten pounds money which I order my said son Josiah to pay to him one year after my decease.
      Seventhly: My Will is and I hereby Give and bequeath to my three youngest daughters namely Sarah Mack, Lois Mack and Lucy Mack each twelve pounds money to be paid them by their brother Josiah Mack within one year after my decease. Eightly: My Will is and I hereby give and bequeath to my said son Josiah Mack all the rest and residue of my movable or personal estate not heretofore disposed of in this my will of every nature and kind whatsoever expressly ordaining my said son Josiah Mack to pay out all legacies mentioned in this my Will on penalty of fortfeiting what I have given him in this my Will. Ninthly: I hereby appoint my said son Josiah Mack my sole executor of this my Will and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this and this only to be my last Will and Testament in confirmation hereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 6th day of December, Annoque Domini 1766.
