So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • [Transcription of Samuel Campbell’s will by Jay Campbell, October 24, 2010. It is
transcribed from the version located in the Joel Campbell website. I have corrected some
spelling, punctuation, and upper/lower case to improve reading in some cases but in
others left the original spelling intact. The wording used is almost identical to other wills
of the period from this region of New York. These are Samuel’s wishes, but certainly not his words. Items in brackets are comments not in the will.]
