She was a member of the RLDS church The Keokuk Daily Gate City, Keokuk, Iowa, Thursday, May 11, 1950, page 2, column x: Mrs. Mary Fluckey Dies at her Home ... Mrs. Mary Fluckey of 1518 Estes Street, mother of Herold Pitts, died this morning in her home. The body was taken to the Schmidt Memorial Home. The funeral arrangements and obituary will be published later Monday, May 15, 1950, page 2, column 2: Funeral Services ... Mrs. Mary Fluckey. ... Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Fluckey was held in the Schmidt Memorial Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Elder James C. Page of Nauvoo officiating. Music was by Mrs. Virginia Whiteside at the organ. The pallbearers were George Thomas, Ray Pilkington, Frank Hyndman, William Ackley, Willard Meyers and Frank J. McCoy. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery at Hamilton. The Women's Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars held a memorial service in the Memorial Home Friday at 8 p. m. with Mrs. Evelyn McArthur as president, Mrs. Mary McCoy as senior vice-president, Mrs. Blanche Brice, chaplain, and Mrs. Helen Swan, conductress.
