So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • Beveridge, A well-known surname in Fife, where it is pronounced Berridge or Berritch. Mr. Beveridge (Culross & Tulliallan, II, p93.) Says the origin of the name is to be found in 'Beverege,' the name of an island in the Severn referred to by Florence of Worcester as a retreat of the Danes during a revolt of the English. The name, he correctly says, means "Beaver Island," from OE., befre or beofer, and ig or ige, island, The earliest mention of the name in Scottish record is in 1302 when Walter Beverage is named as juror on an inquest at St. Andrews (Bain, II, 1350).
