    • All of the known children of Jacob and Elizabeth Perkins are listed in the book, "The Family of John Perkins of Ipswich, Mass: Complete in Three Parts" which can be found online here: https://archive.org/details/familyofjohnperk00perk. Jabez is mentioned on page 13 of section 3.
      His birth is listed in Ipswich vital records:
      Perkins, Javis, s. Sergt. Jacob, May 15, 1677. CTR
      According to page 12, when Jabez was a young man he removed to Norwich, Connecticut, with his brothers Matthew and Joseph. Matthew soon returned to Ipswich, but Joseph and Jabez remained. They settled in 1695 in a part of Norwich which later became Lisbon (Lisbon was incorporated in 1786). He married Hannah Lathrop in Norwich in 1698. They had perhaps 8 known children together, including:
