  Earl was very bashful. He had been raised in the hills and just didn't have much of any self esteem. He had nice straight teeth with no cavities. When he was in his forties he still hadn't had any cavities. Because of being so bashful he never married. Aunt Della remembers a time when she got really mad at Uncle Earl. Aunt Della at the age of about 8 put some rouge on her cheeks, but because she already had rosie cheeks no one noticed, so she went back and put some more on. Still no one noticed so she went back and put some more on, this time really heavy. This time Uncle Earl noticed. He put his hands under Aunt Della's arm pits and carried her into her mother. Her mother promptly spanked her. Rufus Kempton, Rufus Earl's father, had no second generation male descendents named Kempton. Earl was very bashful.
