So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

MAJOR DANYELL BROADLEY de West Morton was baptized on 26 Jan 1589 in Bingley, Yorkshire, England, the son of William Broadley (1545 – 1600). He married Elsabeth Atkinson on 1 Jul 1607 in Bingley. Elsabeth Atkinson was born about 1589 in Yorkshire, England and died about 1625 in Yorkshire, England. They had seven children.
After Elsabeth’a death, Daniel had a "liaison" with Annis Holdroide which resulted in a daughter, Esther, Chr. 10 Dec. 1626 and buried 12 Dec 1626. Annis also died at about the same time, probably due to complications in child birth. Daniel then married (2) Elizabeth Hogge about 1631 (tradition says her last name was Sheaffe but that seems improbable).
      The Irish Rebellion
In 1641 Irish Catholic gentry attempted a coup d'état designed to seize control of the English administration in Ireland and force concessions for Catholics. The rising was sparked by Catholic fears of an impending invasion of Ireland by anti-Catholic forces of the English Long Parliament and the Scottish Covenanters, who were defying the authority of King Charles I (king of England, Scotland, and Ireland). In turn, the rebels' suspected association with Charles helped start the English Civil War. The English and Scottish Parliaments refused to raise an army to put down the rebellion unless it was under their command rather than the King's.
The Irish rebellion broke out in October 1641. It is believed that Danyell was part of the first English forces sent by the Parliament to put down the Irish Rebellion. He apparently died very soon after his arrival in Ireland as he is reported to have died in Ulster, Ireland and was buried on 27 Nov 1641 in Bingley, Yorkshire, England.
The coup failed and the rebellion developed into an ethnic conflict between native Irish Catholics on one side, and English and Scottish Protestant settlers on the other. Followed by several months of violent chaos before the Irish Catholic upper classes and clergy formed the Catholic Confederation in the summer of 1642. The Confederation became a de facto government of most of Ireland, free from the control of the English administration and loosely aligned with the Royalist side in the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. The subsequent Irish Confederate Wars continued in Ireland until the 1650s, when Oliver Cromwell's New Model Army decisively defeated the Irish Catholics and Royalists, and re-conquered the country.
Elizabeth Hogge was born about 1601. is said to have followed her step-son William to America in 1648. With her daughter, Ellen, and her sons Joshua, Daniel, Nathen and Stephen.some of the younger step children, she married (second) in Guilford, Connecticut, John Parmalee, who died 8 Nov 1659; she married (third) 27 May 1663, John Evarts, who died 10 May 1669. Both her American husbands were of Guilford, Connecticut.
Elizabeth died in January, 1683 in New Haven, CT.
