- George Wheeler, immigrant ancestor of those herein traced, was born in 1600 at Salisbury, England, and was one of the founders of Concord, Massachusetts, where he located before 1640, and was made a freeman in 1641. He died there between January, 1685 and June, 1687. He was twice married but no record of his first wife is obtained. His 2nd wife, Katherin, died June 2, 1685. He had five children born in England and three in Concord, Mass., namely, William, Thomas, Ruth, Elizabeth, Hannah, Sarah, John and Mary Wheeler.
