So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

      [p.376]
Matthew Fuller "was the son of Edward and Anne, and brother of Samuel, who came over in 1620, in the Mayflower. His parents died soon after their arrival in Plymouth. Samuel went to reside with this uncle, and Matthew remained with his friends in England till about the year 1640, when he came over. Though he was then nearly thirty years of age, probably a married man and a parent, yet he was accounted to be 'one of the first born of the Colony,' and had lands assigned in virtue of his right of primo-geniture."
      [p.377]
Matthew Fuller served as a Sergeant in the Plymouth Colony Militia.
      [p.378]
Matthew Fuller served as a Lieutenant in the Barnstable Militia in 1652. He served as deputy from Barnstable to the Colony Court. Matthew Fuller was elected one of the council of war in 1658, and chairman in 1671, as well as one of the magistrates of the Colony. In 1673, he was appointed Surgeon General of the colony troops.
      [p.379]
Captain Matthew Fuller "was the first regular physician who settled in Barnstable."
      [p.380-381]
"The farms of Capt. Fuller and his brother Samuel were on Scorton Neck, at the north-west angle of the town." "Capt. Fuller" "had lands granted him at Suckinesset, now Falmouth, and in 'the Major's purchase' at Middleboro." "Capt. Fuller died in Barnstable in 1678." In his will, he names his wife, "Frances; his grand-son Shubael, son of Ralph Jones; his son John [Fuller]," "his grand-children Thomas, Jabez, Timothy, Matthias and Samuel, children of his eldest son Samuel Fuller;" "and Bethia wife of John Fuller." He also named in his will, "daughter Mary [Fuller], wife of Ralph Jones" "daughter Anne Fuller, 'now wife of Samuel Fuller,'" [son of Samuel Fuller, Senior] "daughter Elizabeth [Fuller], wife of Moses Rowley" "Jedediah Jones, son of Ralph" "Mary Fuller, late wife of his son Samuel [Fuller]" "Robert Marshall, the Scotchman" "Jasper Taylor" "Witnesses of his will: Lieut. Joseph Lothrop and John Hawes."
