So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

    • Two Mary Thompsons in New Haven

Mary Thompson born in New Haven in 1642, daughter of John and Dorothy Thompson has been merged and confused with Mary Thompson also born in New Haven but in 1652 and daughter of John and Ellen Harrison Thompson. Since both women’s father’s name is John, the best way to distinguish them is by their husband’s name.
Mary Thompson (1642) married John Cooper, Jr.
Mary Thompson (1652) married Samuel Lines.
Families of Ancient New Haven, Vol. VII by Donald Lines Jacobus, pages 1749-1751, explains the different Thompson families living in New Haven at the same time.
