- BIO: from An Hitherto Unnoted Descent from King Henry I, NEHGR, Vol. 116, Oct. 1962, p. 279
Emmeline married, as her first husband, Hugh de Lacy, Earl of Ulster, who died in 1242, but had no issue by him. She married, as her second husband, Stephen de Longespée, the third son of William de Longespée, Earl of Salibsbury. Stephen also became a justiciar of Ireland. He died before 23 Jan 1274/5. Emmeline referred to herself as the "Countess of Ulster," even after his second marriage. She died in 1276, leaving by Stephen de Longespée, two daughters named Emmeline and Ela.
