So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • John de la Bere of Kinnersley, Herefordshire was the son of Richard de la Bere and Sybil de Chabenore. It appears that he married a woman called Agnes, possibly the daughter of Walter de Duynre. He predeceased his wife and his father. The family inheritence fell to Kynard de la Bere who was most likely the son, but possibly the brother, of John.
John de la Bere of Kinnersley should not be confused with John de la Bere of Weobley Castle in Glamorganshire (which should not be confused with Weobley in Herefordshire). John of Glamorganshire married Agnes de Turberville and the descendents of their daughters Elizabeth and Margaret, inherited Weobley Castle (in Glamorganshire) following the extinction of the male line with the death of Thomas de la Bere in 1414.
