So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

Richard Fitz Alan, Earl of Arundel, Surry, Warren, Beheaded. Justice of North Wales. Other records report death as 24 Jan. 1375/76/ At the coronation of King Richard II, Richard FitzAlan carried the crown. In the same years, 1377, he was made Admiral of the South and West. The following year, 1378, he attacked Harfleur, but was repelled by the French defenders. Fitzalan allied himself with the King's uncle Thomas of Woodstock, Duke of Gloucester, who was married to Fitzalan's niece Eleanor de Bohun, who was also the niece of Elizabeth. Thw two men eventually became members of the Coucil of Regency, and thus would form a strong and virulent opposition to the King. This would later prove fatal to both men. PLANTAGENT ANCESTRY - RICHARD DE ARUNDEL, Knt, 10th Earl of Arundel, of the Castle and honor of Arundel, Sussex, Baron of Oswestry, Shropshire, Constable of Chirk, Portchester and Caernarvon Castles, Justiciar of North Wales, Sheriff of Shropshire, Admiral of the West, Constable of the Army, son and heir, born about 1314 (aged 7 in 1321). She was born about 1313 (aged 8 in 1321). Following their marriage, his father settled the manors of Keevil, Wiltshire and Wing and Blakewell, Buckinghamshire on them and their issue. They had one son, Edmund, Kilt. In 1330-1 he was fully restored in blood and honours and, in Dec. 1331, he obtained restitution of the Castle and honour of Arundel, thereby becoming Earl of Arundel. In 1337 he claimed the Stewardship of Scotland, by grant from Edward de Balio!' His marriage to Isabelle Despenser was annulled 4 Dec. 1344, and their issue bastardized. She was living in 1351-2. He married (2nd) at Ditton (in Stoke Pogis), Buckinghamshire 5 Feb. 1344/5 in the presence of King Edward III (by papal dispensation, they being related in the 4th and 4th degrees) ELEANOR OF LANCASTER, widow of John de Beaumont, Knt., 2nd Lord Beaumont (died 14 April 1342), and daughter of Henry of Lancaster, Kilt., Earl of Lancaster (grandson of King Henry III), by Maud, daughter and heiress of Patrick de Chaworth, Kilt. He was heir in 1347 to his uncle, John de Warenne, Knt., 8th Earl of Surrey, by which he inherited vast estates in Sussex, Surrey, Norfolk, and other counties. In 1351 he agreed with Edward the Black Prince to exchange the justiciarship of North Wales, and annual fee of 500 marks, for £200 a year from the City of Chester and Dee mills for life. In 1355 he and Eleanor received a papal indult to celebrate mass before daybreak. In 1359 he made a loan of £2,000 to Edward the Black Prince, receiving as security the gold crown and star of the French king. In 1361, on the death of Joan of Bar, widow of his uncle, John de Wareilne, he assumed the title of Earl of Surrey. In 1364 and again in 1366 his wife, Eleanor, received a papal indult to enter once a year monasteries of Minoresses with four honest matrons aged forty. Eleanor died at Arundel 11 Jan. 1371/2.
