The Keokuk Daily Gate City, Keokuk, Iowa, July 9, 1981, page 2: Grace Wegehenkel --- Hamilton, Ill. --- Services for Grace Edna Wegehenkel, 76, of Hamilton, who died Wednesday in Blessing Hospital at Quincy, Ill., will be at 2 p. m. Friday in the Bethel Presbyterian Church at Hamilton with the Rev. William Yanney officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Hamilton. Visitation will be after 1 p. m. Thursday with the family meeting friends 7 - 9 p. m. in the Lamporte Funeral Home at Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was born Dec. 31, 1904, at Colchester, ill., daughter of Ralph and Myrtle Welch Millikin. She married Clarence C. Wegehenkel in 1929 in Keokuk. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Knox College at Galesburg, Ill., and was a teacher for 39 years in the Hamilton - Elvaston school district. She also served as Elvaston grade school principal for seven years. Survivors include son Roger K. of Hamilton; brother George of LaHarpe, Ill., and Robert of Portage, Ind.; sister Mrs. Evelyn Barton of Hamilton; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.
