    • The Macomb Daily Journal, Tuesday Oct. 15, 1968, Page 2 column 8: Mrs. Mabel I. Boyd of Colchester Dies Mrs. Mabel I. Boyd, 82, Colchester. died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at McDonough District Hospital. She had been a patient at Helto Nursing Home in Colchester before entering the hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Jones Mortuary. The Rev, Ernest Louderman officiating. Mrs. Boyd was born March 8, 1886 the daughter of Robert and Clara Millikin Hendle. She is survived by one son Charles W. Boyd of Chicago. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Macomb Daily Journal Wednesday October 16, 1968 Page 2 column 4: Services Thursday for Mrs. Mabel Boyd Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel I. Boyd of Colchester will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with burial to be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Mrs. Boyd died Monday night at McDonough District Hospital. She resided in Galesburg before moving to Colchester. She married Charles Wayne Boyd in 1914. He is deceased. She served as a reporter for the Colchester Independent newspaper for several years and was past matron of the Colchester Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a son, Charles W. Boyd of Chicago, a brother, Robert Walter Hendel of Mataire, La., two grandsons and a great grandson.
