Howison Elsie: Six-year Elsie resident Anna B. Howison was pronounced dead on arrival Monday morning at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She suffered an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Howison, 80, resided at 200 N. First St., Elsie. A member of the Racey Free Methodist Church in Chapin Township and for more than 50 years of the Redford Free Methodist Church, she spent most of her life in the Detroit area. Mrs. Howison was born May 30, 1898, in Harbour Beach to john and Maria Manson and married Ralph Howison on June 1, 1923 in Port Huron. He died in September 1969. Mrs. Howison is survived by sisters Mrs. Mary Middaugh of Elsie, and Mrs. Agnes Sleeper of East Aurora, NY; sons Arthur of Brighton and Harold of Howell; and five grandchildren. The funeral is to begin 10am Thursday at the Carter Funeral Home of Elsie, with Rev C.E. Baker officiating. A graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday at the Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery, Livonia.
