  s/o John James Shaw & Myra Renwick Jim's father John James Shaw was the only son of John Shaw (b. 13 Jan 1841) and his 2nd wife, Margaret Reid. John Shaw had previously been married to Jennie Dickie and had had one son who died in infancy and Jennie shortly there after. John Shaw was the son of James & Margaret Shaw. They had two other sons and four daughters. "Grandfather Shaw (John James Shaw) graduated from U of T in 1910. His degree was in Math and Physics (I would have loved to see what he studied in Physics as so much of what I studied was only developed in the 20th century!) although I don't know if it was a BA or ...
