DOAN S Female 18 IL At Home Source Information: Census Place Lee Center, Lee, Illinois - 1880 Family History Library Film 1254225 The Amboy Journal, Amboy, Lee county, Illinois, Thursday, April 7, 1892, page 4 column 2: Vincent Doan was born in Ohio Sept. 6th, 1825, and died Apr., 2nd 1892. He migrated to Ill. in 1841, and was married to Miss Betsey Hale Sept. 4th, 1851. Of that union they had two children, a boy and girl. He was a good husband and a kind father, and commanded the respect of his fellow-man, and he was a consistent christian man, and while we mourn his departure we believe he is at rest in heaven.
