- In the 20th year (498) of the reign of the Monarch Lughaidh (the son of Laeghaire), Fergus Mor MarEarca and his five brothers, with a complete army, went to assist his grandfather, King Loarn, who was much oppressed by his enemies, the Pits whowere vanguished by Fergus and his party, who prosecuted the enemy so vigorously, that they followed the enemy into their own homes, reducing them to such extremity that they were glad to accept peace on the conqueror's terms. King Loarn died at about the same time and Fergus Mor MacEraca was unanimously elected and chosen king, being of royal blood by his mother. He sent to Ireland, to his brother the Monarch of Ireland to be a marble sat ("Saxum Fatale") for good luck, to be crowned thereon. He then became the first absolute King of Scotland, as it is today, the Milesian Race. Living 397-405. Ferghus or Fergus Mor, d. 506. Crowned on the Lis Fail or Stone of Destiny in Scotland. Fergus Mor Mac Earca 131 Monarch of Ireland, first King of Dalriada Scots 496-99. Fergus went into Scotland with a complete army to assist his grandfather, Loarn, King of Dalriada in overcoming his enemy the Picts. He became the first absolute King of all Scotland of the Milesian Race.
