      Phyllis Heath Monson 1921 ~ 2005 Phyllis Heath Monson, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2005. Born February 5, 1921, to Leslie and Afton Heath, in Salina, Utah. Mom loved her children, her church and serving others. She loved to garden and pink and blue flower were her favorites. She was a gifted illustrator and painter. Phyllis' children would like to express their gratitude to her husband Harold and his family for making the last four years of her life so wonderful; they are now a part of our family we will love and appreciate forever. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold O. Monson, her children: Bill Stemmons (Geri), Sydnee McMillan (Todd), Sandy Wilson (Don), Sue Nielsen (Michael), Lisa Romero (Ronnie), Lee R. Green (Deena), Scott Green (Mary), Margaret Page (Rex), Marion Vladimiross (Dave), Annette Pierce (Wayne), Vickie Moore (Mel), Lanny Monson (Kathy), Kim Poole (Keith), Rick Monson, 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Russell Heath (June), Ted Heath (Val), Gail Heath (JoAnn), Lynda Richards (Bill), Launa Larson (Charlie). Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Olean Graham, a brother Jim Heath, her spouses, Leonard Stemmons, John Foulger, Rex Green, to whom she was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, Dr. Wirt L. McLoney, and her son, Dennis Green. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Murray 8th ward, 160 East 4600 South, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, December 5, 2005 at 5850 South 900 East from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

      Harold O. Monson 1915 ~ 2009 Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend to many more, Harold Orlando Monson, 93, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home at the Legacy House of Taylorsville, Taylorsville, Utah.Harold was born to Jacob and Kjersti Elizabeth Monson on November 6, 1915, in Sandy, Utah. He married Margaret Erekson on August 24, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. Tragically, Margaret died in childbirth. After a time, Harold married Helen Mar Carter on March 18, 1941, also in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised seven children and were married for nearly 60 years. After Helen's death, Harold was blessed to meet a third sweetheart and married Phyllis McLoney in the Jordan River Temple on February 5, 2002. Harold moved to Richland, Washington during World War II where he worked for the Remington Arms Company, and then General Electric for many years, finally retiring from Rockwell-Hanford. Harold was also active in public service throughout his life. He participated on the Richland City Council, was active in Kiwanis, school boards, and served as a tour director of the Hanford Science Center. Harold was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a full-time mission in California as a young man, and offering a lifetime of service in a wide variety of callings. He and Helen both served second missions at the LDS Employment Center in Kennewick, Washington. Harold is survived by six children: Margaret (Rex) Page, Annette (Wayne) Pierce, Vicki (Mel) Moore, Lanny (Kathy) Monson, Kim (Keith) Poole, Rick Monson; son-in-law: David Vladimiroff; step-children: Bill (Geri) Stemmons, Syd McMillan (Todd Medley), Sandy (Don) Wilson, Sue Nielsen, Lisa (Ronnie) Romero, Lee (Deena) Green, Scott (Mary) Green; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, five sisters, his three cherished wives, Margaret, Helen, and Phyllis, his daughter Marion Vladimiroff, and two grandchildren. A viewing/reception will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 6-7 p.m. and Thursday, May 28 at 2:30 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Graveside Services will be held at 4:00 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
