So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

The story in the family was that my grandfather’s parents had so many children they could not afford to raise him so he was brought up by his grandparents. It’s interesting to note that the 1910 and 1920 census documents show that my grandfather did in fact live with his grandparents but that his sister Floyce did as well. Floyce is also the only one of his siblings I recall meeting as a child. His grandparents were George Nesbit Borden born in Alabama 1857 and
Nellie Geems Cochran born in Belden, Mississippi 10Nov1866.
