So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • He was an English Nobleman and head of a family which controlled a large part of Derbyshire including an arena known as Duffield Firth.
He received his title in 1247 on the death of his father. He had accompanied King Henry to France in 1230 and sat in parliament in-London in that same year.
He suffered from gout from his youth and always traveled in a litter. He was accidentally thrown from his litter into water, while crossing a bridge at St Neots, in Huntingdon and although he escaped immediate death, he never recovered from the effects of the accident.

When William was born his father was 31. His mother was 13.
