So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • Sir Gilbert de Carrick, who in several authentic writings is designed son of Roland, particularly in the submission of a difference betwixt him and the nuns of North-Berwick; in which Robert Bruce, Earl of Carrick, father of King Robert Bruce, and Robert, Bishop of Glasgow, were arbiters. He is therein designed Gilbertus de Carrick, miles, filius Rolandi, etc. and his seal, which is thereto appended, hath the very same shield of arms which the family of Cassilis carries at this day; which shows, that they had the double tressure floree, and contrafloree, with flower-de-lisses to their arms, long before they matched with the royal-family (chart in public archives) This Sir Gilbert was often designed Kennady, and had lands in his possession of the same designation, which appears by the following charter of confirmation from the Earl of Lennox to his son, Sir Gilbert de Carrick, or Kennady, who succeeded him.
