      Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland was born in 1292, the son of James Stewart, 5th High Steward of Scotland and Gille de Burgh. He married Alice Erskine, daughter of Sir John Erskine, before 1315. He married Margorie Bruce, Princess of Scotland, daughter of Robert I Bruce, King of Scotland and Isabella of Mar, in 1315. He married, Isabella Graham, daughter of unknown Graham. He died on 9 April 1327.
