OBIT: It is with sorrow we announce the passing of our Mother Most Beautiful, Peggy Anne Fuller, 73, of Bountiful, Utah. Peggy passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children, husband, and sisters, from complications arising from an aggressive form of acute myeloid leukemia.

Born to Eva Mary Lee and Jesse Dudley in Calgary, Canada, Peggy was the oldest of five sisters. At the age of six months, her family moved to Los Angeles, California, where she lived until graduating from Verdugo Hills High School in 1964. It was during high school that she met and has remained in contact with some of her dearest friends.

Following high school, Peggy completed a year of college at BYU before meeting her eternal companion Bill at a Young Adult Fireside in Burbank, CA. His laughter and sense of humor piqued her interest and his kindness and love won her heart. After a short courtship, they married for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS temple in May of 1968. In the following years, they welcomed three children in to the world while living in various cities in Southern and Northern California. In the fall of 1979, they moved to Bountiful, UT where they had the last of their 5 children and lived the remainder of her life.

In the Spring of 1984, Peggy was hospitalized with transverse myelitis, a rare neurological condition that should have left her wheelchair bound for the remainder of her years. Unsurprising to her friends and family, she ignored her doctors prognosis and through hard work and pure force of will, she regained the ability to walk within the year. Most people that met her would never know that she lived with complications stemming from that disease from decades ago.

It was during this time that Peggy began working for Union Pacific Railroad Employee Health Systems. She was a lifelong railroader, retiring in 2016 after 35 years of service. Her life at the railroad did not define her, but was an important piece of her identity and provided many close and lifelong friends. Her co-workers and friends will always remember her infectious smile and love of chocolate.

Peggy loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a living embodiment of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For over 4 decades she found joy in her various primary callings. She loved to teach children and share with them her love of her Redeemer. In recent years, she was called as a ward organist. With great hesitation to play in front of others, she attacked the challenge head on taking organ lessons at the tender age of 66. If she could not be found, you could probably find her practicing in the chapel late in to the night. Recently she was thrilled to be serving as young women’s president in the Barton Creek Ward, Bountiful Central Stake. As with the organ, she accepted the challenge with great hesitation and humility, fearing her age would be a barrier to connecting with the young women. Like every challenge she faced before, she gave everything she had to those women, up until her last day. A visit from the Young Women on the night before she passed will forever be one of the most sacred events in her mortal life.

Peggy enjoyed reading, knitting, decorating her house, and gardening. Her yard was always a showpiece, with colorful flower beds and welcoming trees. She took great joy in providing a soft landing space for those entering her home.

In her free time, she would attend her grandchildren’s games and activities, quietly serve those around her, and ski the slopes of Snowbasin, which she did a week and half prior to her passing.

Peggy was a devoted wife and friend, involved sister, loving mother, and an influential grandmother. Although Peggy was a great many things, she always said her greatest accomplishment was her family.

While our Mother Most Beautiful's passing has come as a shock to our hearts, we are grateful for her final two weeks filled with laughter, love, and a few tears. We cannot begin to thank the hospital staff, friends, and family that made these last two weeks the most sacred of our lives. We rejoice in the knowledge that we will see her again.

Peggy is survived by her husband Bill; her children, Nikki (John Blackburn), Tad (Sabrina Fuller), Tim (Kirsten Fuller), Teisha (Stokes Aitken), and Nate (Ashley Fuller); her 12 grandchildren: Marcus Blackburn, Addison Aitken, Jack Blackburn, Aidan Aitken, Logan Fuller, Miles Fuller, Graham Fuller, Evan Fuller, Rory Fuller, Henry Fuller, Bode Fuller, and Knox Fuller; her sisters, Barbara Minkoff, Beverly (Rob Cantrell), Patty (Brent Jeppesen), and Darlene (Jack Clegg); her cousins, brother and sisters in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Eva Mary & Jesse Dudley, and brothers-in-law Robert Minkoff and Robert Fuller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2019 at the Barton Creek Ward, 640 South 750 East, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
