      Wilbur S. Streets, 80, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at his home.
      He was born Nov. 12, 1923 in Philippi, West Virginia, to Henry and Nola Upton Streets. On Aug. 25, 1961, he married Rose Mary Grotts in Canton, Mo.
      Mr. Streets served in the Navy during World War II. He worked as a Field Engineer for Joy Manufacturing, a mining equipment company in Pennsylvania, and later owned and operated his own trucking business.
      He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Sue (husband Craig) Harms of Dallas City, two sisters, Melinda Moats and Hilda Serback, both of Philippi, West Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.
      Mr. Streets was preceded in death by his grandson, three brothers and his parents.
      No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Hospice of Hancock County or to the Feed the Children Fund.
      Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City is in charge of the arrangements.
