He died 25 October 1221 having married Isabel Bolebec. Saire de Quincey the Surety, a record of whose achievements appears at pg 112, was Earl of Winchester born before 1154, died 3 Nov 1219 on the way to the Holy Land. He was 15th in descent from Alfred the Great. He married Margaret Beaumont a descendant of Charlemagne. Death place, Damietta, On Way To Holy Land, Palestine. He was Magna Charta Surety. Saire de Quincy, b prior to 1154. He obtained large grants and immunities from King John and was created Earl of Winchester, 2 March 1207. He had been appointed in 1203 governor of castles of Ruil in Normandy.
