So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

ELA Longespee (-before 19 Jul 1276). The Book of Lacock names “Elam de la Souch…Emelinam” as the children of “Stephanus Lungespee” and his wife “Emelinam comitissam de Ulton”, adding that Ela married “Rogerus de la Souch”, by whom she had “Alanus de la Souch, qui duxit…Alianoram filiam Nicholai de Segrave, de qua genuit Elam, Matildam, Elizabetham, Rogerum de la Souche”[1131]. m (before 1267) ROGER la Zouche Lord of Ashby, son of ALAIN la Zouche & his wife Helen de Quincy ([1240/42]-shortly before 15 Oct 1285).

** from Wikipedia listing for Ela Longespee
Ela Longespee, Lady of Ashby (1244 – c. 19 July 1276) was a wealthy heiress and daughter of Stephen Longespee, Justiciar of Ireland and Emmeline Riddlesford. She was the wife of Sir Roger La Zouche, Lord of Ashby.

      Family
Ela was born in 1244 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, the eldest daughter and co-heiress of Stephen Longespee, Justiciar of Ireland, Seneschal of Gascony, and Emmeline de Ridelsford.[1] Her paternal grandmother was Ela, Countess of Salisbury, who had founded Lacock Abbey, and for whom she was named. Ela had a younger sister, Emmeline, who became the second wife of Maurice FitzGerald, 3rd Lord of Offaly in 1273.

      Marriage and issue
In about 1266 in Northamptonshire, she married Sir Roger La Zouche, Lord of Ashby, the son of Sir Alan La Zouche and Helen de Quincy. Their marriage produced one son:
Alan la Zouche, 1st Baron la Zouche of Ashby (19 October 1267 – 25 March 1314), married Eleanor de Segrave, by whom he had three daughters.

Ela died on about 19 July 1276 at the age of 32. Her younger sister Emmeline, co-heiress to their father and the wife of the 3rd Lord of Offaly, did not bear any children; thus when she died in 1291, her property was inherited by Maud La Zouche, Baroness Holland, the daughter of Ela's only son, Alan.
