- Zenna G. Dorsey, 90, of Sunnyslope, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at home of natural causes. Zenna was born April 9, 1913, at Provo, Utah, to Ashel and Eliza Jones Gee.
The family moved to the Burley area when she was 2 years old and she graduated from Burley High School. She attended Brigham Young University and later attended cosmetology school in Salt Lake City. She came to Sunnyside in 1934.
Zenna married Frank A. Dorsey, also of Sunnyslope, on Dec. 20, 1939, in Burley and they made their home at Sunnyslope since that time. Zenna was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many capacities within the church. She was also a lifelong member of the "B.B." Club of Sunnyslope. She loved to cook and made sure everyone who came to visit her was well fed. Zenna and Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the world together. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed roses.
Zenna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marolyn and Ron Van Wagenen of Littleton, Colo.; her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Dana Dorsey of Caldwell; nine grandchildren, Heather and Dean White, Holly and Dave Carlson, Heidi and Darrin Johnson, Jason and Jennifer Van Wagenen, Haylee Van Wagenen, Matt and Kristie Dorsey, Carma and Jeff Forsberg, Jennifer and Quinn Jenson and Marcus and Lynsey Dorsey; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, JoAnn and a sister, Ferris Barlow.
